Tuned specifically for the rumbling low-end bass territory, the Boss ODB-3 Bass OverDrive is an excellent option for bassists looking to add a little bit (or a lot) of dirt to their sound. According to Boss' adspeak, the ODB-3 delivers the "chest-resonating distortion that hard rock, thrash, and punk bassists have been waiting for," but with flexible controls, it doesn't have to be hard and in your face all the time. High and Low EQ knobs allow you to fine tune the tone, and then the "Gain" control lets you set the overall overdrive level. But the incredibly-useful "Balance" control provides the most room for versatility by allowing you to blend between your dry and overdriven signals.
This 2005 Boss ODB-3 Bass OverDrive has velcro installed on the bottom, but it's nice shape overall. It functions 100% as it should, and it is more than capable of adding whatever grit you need to color your low end sounds.
