They have searched out rare album cuts: Boogaloo Joe Jones' "Right On," plus Leon Spencer and Houston Person, who both take on the Meters. Also included are tunes which have languished forgotten as LP cuts such as the JBs influenced groove "Reelin' With The Feeling" on which the Crusader's Wilton Felder plays tenor. But the real boon of this release is the first time re-issue of the 45 edits which Prestige released at the time that are now being eagerly snapped up by collectors for their sheer funkiness.
