It weighs in under 6 lbs—5 lb 14.4 oz, to be exact. Paulownia is a different animal than alder or ash—it has an interesting acoustic resonance that helps bring about harmonic fullness plugged in. And most importantly, it allows the guitar to be "Ultra-Light and Ultra-Mighty."
The Fender Custom Shop produces the finest Fender instruments available. The "Wildwood 10" series was conceived as a collaboration between the Custom Shop and Wildwood Guitars in Louisville, Colorado. This Limited Edition of run of guitars seeks to combine the mojo of a true-to-vintage reissue with modern handfeel and comfy modern ergonomics.
This 2022 Wildwood 10 '57 Stratocaster combines authentic '50s specs with a modern 10" fingerboard radius and modern 6105 Narrow Tall frets. The result is a guitar that captures the vibe and tone of one of Fender's most sought-after years, but its modern 10” radius is suitable for a wide variety of styles and techniques. Even with a full-feeling 1954 "U" profile, this Ultra-Light '57 Stratocaster still weighs in under 6 lbs because of the Paulownia Body.
This '22 Wildwood 10 Ultra-Light Stratocaster has a Baltic Blue thin-skin Journeyman finish. It is in gently used condition, and it's hard to say if there is any actual wear, beyond the Custom Shop relic job. Sonically, it is a beast of a Stratocaster, but the Paulownia body makes it so lightweight and manageable. It includes its original case and all the paperwork/goodies. Great axe!
