The ZVEX Box of Rock brings the roar of a cranked 1966 Marshall JTM45 straight to your pedalboard. Designed by Zachary Vex to replicate his favorite amp at full throttle, the Box of Rock delivers dynamic, full-bodied distortion with the authentic character of vintage British amplifiers. The inside of the Vexter Series is identical to ZVEX's hand-painted originals, but with simpler machine-printed graphics, the Vexters come at accessible prices.
On the Box of Rock, four simple controls let you dial in the perfect tone—from subtle crunch to saturated distortion. The Drive control adjusts the gain/amount of drive, while the Tone knob shapes the high-end clarity. The Master Volume handles overall output, and the built-in Boost circuit delivers a clean, high-headroom lift for solos and leads, all without the hiss or noise typically found in other boosts. This unique post-distortion boost ensures your tone cuts through with authority.
This 2010s ZVEX Vexter Box of Rock has lived on someone's pedalboard, so it shows some scuffs and signs of use. There is velcro on the bottom, too. But it functions 100% as it should, and it sounds fantastic. True to the Box of Rock reputation, this pedal delivers the cranked-up punch of a vintage British amp in a compact format. From warm, gritty overdrive to saturated, face-melting distortion, the Box of Rock has you covered. This one includes its original box!
