Looking for that authentic gritty 1950s tone for your acoustic? The Recording King Gold Foil Sound-Hole pickup has you covered!
Gold foil pickups are known for their crisp, metallic, slightly overdriven sound, and the Recording King Gold Foil reproduces that vintage vibe in spades. Like the '50s originals, the RK Gold Foil is microphonic, so it captures your guitar's fundamental acoustic tone but with added punch and crunch. This pickup has been available on Recording King's "Dirty '30s" guitars for a few years, but it is now sold separately so that you can install one in any acoustic guitar.

The installation is fairly simple, but you will need to ream out your guitar's end block to accommodate the end-pin jack. Just follow the easy instructions included in the package, and you’ll be picking and sliding your way to bluesy goodness in no time. If you need help, that's why we're here!
On its own, the RK Gold Foil may be all you need, but it can be combined with other pickups to provide a wide range of options. We like to install it in stereo with a more traditional acoustic pickup (like the K&K Pure Mini), and you can even rig it up with a three-way switch so you can changes tones quickly on the fly.
There’s no better combination of tone, value, and cool factor than the RK Gold Foil. It’s an easy upgrade and a new sound to inspire your music and push you in new directions.
