Authentic mandolin “chop” is recognizable from the first strum, and it can only be found from an instrument with a true, hand-carved Spruce top.  That’s why The Loar hand-carves the solid Spruce top on each LM-310F Honey Creek mandolin. The result is a mandolin that produces authentic 1920s F-model sound and still has enough vibration to cut through the mix in today’s ensemble playing. The Loar LM-310F sports a traditional “V” neck profile that fits comfortably in the player’s hand, so these mandolins are easy to play, even for beginning players. Combine the graceful curves of an authentic F-style body, Grover tuners, and D’Addario strings, and you’ve got an instrument that not only sounds great out of the box but also one you can hand down to the next generation of players.

*Please Note: the mandolin pictured is a Telluride Music Co. stock image. While The Loar mandolins are usually consistent, there may be a few cosmetic differences (wood grain, sunburst, etc.). If you would like a picture of the mandolin that will ship with your order, please contact us.*
