The Regal RD-52 Dobro (a.k.a the Regal Black Lightning) is an excellent value instrument for any player interested in learning the "Hound Dog Guitar." It features traditional, prewar-inspired specifications such as an all-mahogany body, single-cone resonator, 12-fret neck design, and 25" scale. With some high-end touches such as a blacked out finish and art-deco peghead inlay, the RD-52 captures the right look, too. But ultimately, its rich sound will be more than enough to satisfy anyone interested in a square-neck, slide guitar.
This Used Regal RD-52 is in excellent condition. It shows some minor playwear and a few bumps and bruises, but it remains fairly clean with no history of repairs or issues. The previous owner installed a K&K Pure Resonator Biscuit Bridge pickup, too, so this one is ready for the stage. Moderately used Cordoba gig bag included.
