The MS-00 was designed with mid-'30s small-body guitars in mind. It has a 14-fret body with slope shoulder a short scale (24-3/4"). The MS-00 was developed on the insistence of Mark Stutman of Folkway, for whom it’s named. Mark is a very talented luthier who is considered to be the expert in vintage Gibson guitars, which show clear influence on this model.
We ordered this MS-00 (serial #522) in Natural Finish with Ivoroid binding and a Tortoise pickguard. It features hand-scalloped Adirondack Braces, a Sitka Spruce Top, and Mahogany back and sides.
