As the bigger, bolder cousin to the classic C10, the C100 is the newest body shape in Collings' acoustic lineup. With its parlor-style proportions, the C100 combines the balance and clarity of a small-body instrument without sacrificing the power and volume of a large body. At nearly 16” across on the lower bout and 4 ¾” deep, the C100 body produces strong, solid, low-end response, but its narrow waist and non-scalloped bracing provide balance across the register as well as quick, snappy response typically found only in smaller-bodied instruments.
Whether you’re a flatpicker, fingerstyle player, or something in between, the C100 offers impressive versatility, and it just might be the ideal companion for singer-songwriters looking to fill the room with sound while still leaving space for vocals to shine through. We ordered this C100 (serial #29636) with a gorgeous sunburst top and Collings' "Rootbeer Stain" to give its mahogany back and sides the right hue to match the sunburst.
