The Supercool Spritz! is one of the simplest and best-sounding compressors out there. And with artwork that matches your favorite brunch cocktail, what's not to like? One knob—more or less. It is a subtle "transparent" compressor up until about noon, and after that it squashes and becomes more of the "effect" type of compressor.
Based on a famous orange compression circuit, the Spritz! Compressor is a fully analog circuit that uses a pair of matched JFET transistors and a rare Germanium diode to add smooth sustain, cutting attack, and a pillowy texture to your chain.
The Spritz! Compressor is intended as a “set it and forget it” compressor pedal, with a single knob for output level that can also be used as a boost, but also features an internal pot that can be adjusted to control the amount of compression applied to your signal. By default this is set at a fairly high ratio for a rich and classic juicy sound.
This 2025 Supercool Spritz is gently used, and it functions 100% as it should. There are some scuffs around the edges, and most notably some black smudges on the bottom from when it was on a pedalboard (see photos). It includes its original box, but the paperwork and goodies are lost.
