The Honduran Series grew out of one such discovery: a remarkable cache of old-growth Honduran Mahogany that had been quietly aging for more than fifty years. Rather than reserve it for a handful of custom builds, the Yairi workshop paired these rare back and side sets with premium Adirondack Spruce tops to create a series of guitars that showcase both the materials and the meticulous craftsmanship for which the Alvarez-Yairi collaboration has long been celebrated
The FYM60HD is an Orchestra Model that combines a hand-selected AAAA Adirondack Spruce top with those naturally-seasoned Honduran Mahogany back and sides. The result is a guitar with outstanding balance, quick response, and impressive headroom, equally comfortable under a flatpick or a fingerstyle approach. Every Alvarez -airi is individually voiced by the craftsmen in Kani, Japan, and premium appointments—including an ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, and Gotoh 510 tuning machines—complement its boutique-level construction.
This 2025 Alvarez Yairi FYM60HD is in excellent, gently used condition. It has seen only light use and shows minimal cosmetic wear from careful ownership.
