The Raven is Tom Anderson's interpretation of the classic offset design, and the Raven Superbird pairs the offset body with a short 24.75" scale. This Raven Superbird features a lightweight Limba Body and a Mahogany neck with a Rosewood fingerboard. Anderson's serial number system tells you the exact date a guitar was finished, and this Raven Superbird is dated 8/24/24. As to be expected from a used guitar that is still so fresh, this guitar looks practically unplayed. We use the term "Mint" very sparingly, but we'll describe this one as such. This guitar is so clean that—if we didn't know it was used—we might assume it was brand new.
For electronics, this Raven Superbird sports a PH1 in the neck position and an HC2+ in the bridge. The PH1 is like a fat P90, and the HC2+ is a versatile, humbucker with strong output. A 3-way switch, single volume, and single tone control help you navigate between them. Als, each pickup has a Cut switch—on the humbucker, the switch splits the coils, and other switch reverses the phase of the neck pickup. The result is a wide range of tones!
