2023-nash-t-72tl-grt-419
2023 Nash T-72TL Olympic White

Nash Guitars approaches familiar vintage designs with the care and attention of a modern boutique builder. With traditional styling, hand-selected woods, and high-quality components, Nash Guitars captures the feel and character of a treasured vintage guitar while offering the consistency and reliability of a contemporary build. To impart character and individuality, Nash has refined a hand-aging technique. Rather than applying a uniform “relic” treatment, each instrument is given its own distinctive simulated wear, finish checking, hardware aging, and other details. With the hand-aging, a brand new Nash replicates the charm of a vintage relic, but with the precision, usability, and full range of a modern boutique guitar.

The T-72TL is Nash's interpretation of the early-'70s thinline template. This T-72TL was made in 2023, and it features an Olympic White finish with matching headstock. Its Ash body is semi-hollow, so it's a lightweight guitar at just 6 lbs 10.s oz. True to the thinline tradition, it has Lollar Regal pickups, an excellent modern-day recreation of the '70s Wide Range humbuckers. Powerful tone with a serious bite. Full-throated and hum-canceling, but they pack sparkle and chime.

This 2023 Nash T-72TL is gently used, and it's hard to tell if there is any genuine wear beyond the factory aging. There's a ding by the input jack that could be authentic (see photos). There are a couple of long pick marks above the pickguard... maybe those are from rocking out? But also possibly more of the Nash relic treatment. Hard to say! More importantly, the vibe is great—broken-in but tasteful, not some hacked up relic. The worn finish on the back of the neck provides a smooth feel that is just right for the Medium C neck profile. The nut width measures 1-5/8", and the setup is exceptional. Nash Guitars are built to perform at a high level, and this is an excellent player.

This 2023 T-72TL Nash is a hard-working, reliable guitar that will deliver night after night. Its striking Olympic White finish is perfectly contrasted by the reddish 4-ply Tort pickguard. Hand-aging to impart character and individual, and then also proven stage-ready hardware and electronics. This T-72TL offers the best of both worlds: the personality of a vintage instrument and the dependability of a thoroughly modern build. It includes its original hang tag, cable, and hardshell case.
