The square-shouldered 14-fret dreadnought is easily the most popular acoustic guitar design in the world, yet somehow Collings brings this iconic template to a totally new level. With tonal clarity to match the warmth and depth of the dreadnought, the Collings D2H is cutting, robust, and powerful, but it also remains sweet and subtle when you want it to be. In many ways, the D2H is a guitar that seems to do everything well.
The Traditional Series (or "T-Series”) reflects Bill Collings' return to his guitar making roots, and these models offer a new tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound. Each T-Series guitar is built using animal protein glue and a very thin, all-nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The goal is to produce exceptionally dynamic and responsive instruments—a modern approach to the Old World templates. Bracing and tone woods are adjusted for weight and thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and present low midrange, while retaining quick attack and strong projection.
This 2022 Collings D2H T (#32324) features an upgraded Baked Sitka top and Vintage Satin finish. Baked Sitka gives a new guitar the seasoned, broken-in richness of a well-loved vintage relic. As you put a baked (torrefied) top through the paces for years and years, it'll only sound better and more refined. Plus, the Baked Top has a darker—almost aged—look to it. The non-reflective Vintage Satin finish is the perfect way to accent all of the T-Series touches. This D2H T has a rich, refined voice.

This 2022 Collings D2H T is gently used and includes its original hardshell case. It shows some minor playwear, but it is free of anything severe (the worst is a scuff on the peghead edge, see photos). A strap button has been installed on the neck heel. Frets are clean, and the setup is excellent. This is a fantastic-soudnign dreadnought that is ready for whatever you can throw at it. Nobody does it like Collings.
