Featuring a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Ziricote back and sides, the Martin D-13E is a powerful-sounding dreadnought at a price that won't break the bank. As the name “Road Series” implies, here’s a hard-working Martin guitar that’s ready to go on tour.
Thanks to its solid-wood construction, the D-13E produces a crisp, clear sound. Its tone is true to the traditional dreadnought design—big and throaty with powerful low end and cutting trebles. With Fishman MX-T electronics under the hood, the D-13E is ready for any stage. Plus, it has a built-in sound-hole tuner that automatically mutes the output so you can tune up any time without a goofy tuner clipped to your headstock.
This 2021 Martin D-13E Ziricote is gently used, and it shows some minor playwear, particularly on the back and sides (see photos). But fortunately it is free of any severe cosmetic dings or issues. The previous owner upgraded the bridge pins to genuine Ebony pins with Abalone dot inlays. No repairs, no dings, no scratches, no issues—just a great-sounding Martin dreadnought. Plus, look at the Ziricote set used on the back! Absolutely stunning.
