This G5260T Electromatic was made in 2021, and it features a 29.75" scale baritone approach to the classic Gretsch Jet shape.
With a Mahogany body and a bolt on Maple neck, the extra long scale is ideal for lower tunings, such as A to A. The Bigsby B50 tailpiece adds an additional range of expression, so you get an extra way to color the deeper register. Equipped with two Gretsch mini-humbucking pickups, this baritone deliver thundering lows with clear, piano-like articulation. Finished in sparkle-flake Airline Silver, this Baritone captures the characteristic Gretsch pizz-azz as much as the iconic sound.
This 2021 Gretsch G5260T Electromatic Jet Baritone is gently used, so it shows some minor scuffs and play wear (see photos). But there is not too much to argue with! It has an excellent setup and is playing 100% to its full potential. Despite the intimidating long scale and heavy-gauge four wound strings, this Baritone feels approachable, thanks to a comfortable U-shaped neck and familiar 1-11/16" nut width. Tuned in A, the string tension doesn't feel very different from a regular guitar.
