When bluegrass legend Peter Rowan called his the "Space Reverb, we'd never heard a better description for the Caroline Meteore. They call it a "Lo-Fi Reverb," and while it might rely on reverb sounds to produce its effect, you'll use it more like you might a delay. The Meteore creates expansive, ethereal textures that can sit under your sound or completely take it over (if that's what you're into). It goes a lot deeper than a simple reverb pedal.
The Meteore also has flexible controls so you can tailor the sound to your liking, but what's most fun is "Attack" control (it's the crazy little space invader guy). The Attack control sets the amount of gain in the preamp, which allows you to boost or overdrive the reverb sound. You dry signal still comes through clean, so it can be a really interesting feature. The "Havoc" switch is very cool, too—it's great way to let everything build up and then quickly release.
This 2021 Caroline Meteore is gently used and functions 100% as it should. It includes its original box and original paperwork, and the the previous owner installed loop-side velcro (soft side) on the bottom. The Meteore is a great way to add some ethereal tones to your board, so here's a great price on a second-hand Caroline pedal!
