Around Telluride Music Co., the Venue DI is probably the most recommended pedal for acoustic guitar. It's no surprise you'll find the Venue DI on stages all around Telluride. If you're plugging in an acoustic instrument (especially guitar), it is such a handy pedal keep around.
The Venue starts with a flexible preamp, allowing you to set the right gain for your instrument's pickup and then shape the EQ to your liking. With a presence control and tunable mid range, there's a lot of flexibility to get the right sound. There is also a notch filter that allows you dial out any unwanted resonant frequencies. Then, the balanced XLR output sends your signal directly to the sound board as a DI.
But the Venue doesn't stop there! It adds a tuner and a footswitch-able boost—a lot people used LR Baggs Para DIs with a pedal tuner and a clean boost, so the Venue DI adds the two features directly into the pedal. When you use the tuner, the switch mutes the output, so no one has to listen to you tune, and you'll find the mute can be really helpful on stage at other times, too (set breaks, changing instruments, etc). There is also an effects loop that can be worth trying with some effects, particularly those that can adversely affect your EQ. On the side of the Venue, there's also a regular unbalanced 1/4" out, so you can plug into an amp while still sending your balanced signal to the board via the XLR out.
This 2019 LR Baggs Venue DI is gently used. It shows some general wear and tear, but it functions 100% as it should. The previous owner added velcro to the bottom, and it includes the original carrying case. The Venue DI is a powerful tool for live performance, and these don't come around used too often. Here's a great opportunity to dial in your sound on stage!
