With its solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Siris back and sides, the Martin 000RSG is a great-sounding Auditorium-size guitar at an even better price. As a tonewood, Siris is very similar to Koa. This guitar has balanced, warm tone with nice clarity. The 000RSG has a 24.9″ scale length and a 1-3/4″ nut width. With its full-body gloss finish and included hardshell case, this is a hard value to beat. Plus, it even has Fishman Sonitone electronics under the hood. As the name “Road Series” implies, here’s a great-sounding Martin guitar that’s ready to go on tour.
This Martin 000RSG (#2199281) is gently used and shows minimal signs of playwear and use. Like all of the Road Series models, its tone is lightyears ahead of its price point. Its Sitka Spruce top has mellowed in color to show gorgeous red and orange coloring at the grain, and the guitar also seems to have opened up a bit, so its response and dynamics are not as tight as a new guitar. Nevertheless, cosmetically this guitar doesn't seem to have been played much. More than anything, it looks as if it has spent much of its life properly-humidified in its hardshell case.
This Martin 000RSG is one of the best values we've got in the shop, and it's ready for a new home!
