As early as 1950, Fender became the first company to successfully market solidbody electric guitars. Since then, the two-pickup, single-cutaway Telecaster has remained a simple, yet effective design that delivers versatile tones. There's a reason why players of all genres gravitate towards the Telecaster—its tone is transparent, dynamic, and straightforward. It seems to do everything well. While there have been somes variations in both neck design and bridge design (as well as subtle cosmetic changes), the Telecaster has remained recognizable and practically unchanged since the early '50s.

The Fender American Professional Telemaster isn't simply a re-imagining of the vintage classic; it's the authentic original model, refined and evolved for the 21st Century. In many ways, it is the perfect blend of timeless design and modern technological improvements.

Under the hood, the American Professional Telecaster sports two V-Mod Stratocaster pickups designed by Tim Shaw to deliver crisp, clear tone with high output. Borrowing from the best-sounding pre-CBS examples, these pickups produce classic Telecaster tone that is beefy and ballsy, and they certainly pack a punch.

While the three-saddle bridge may look familiar, its brass saddles are compensated for accurate intonation. It also a flat plate with no raised edges past the saddles, which make the guitar more comfortable to play. It also includes a half ashtray, which is great hand rest for your palm.

Somewhere between a traditional C and a U profile, the American Professional "Deep C" neck profile is designed for comfort and speed, and Narrow-Tall frets play clean all the way up to the 22nd fret. Locking tuners offer tuning stability, and the extra weight keeps the guitar nicely balanced.
