The Maruszczyk Frog was designed to be a sleek, comfortable instrument that is easy to pick up and start creating immediately. The Frog is available with a headless design, which certainly gets your attention, but it's not just for looks. Headless bassesare a great choice for traveling, and they also stay balanced on a strap. Plus, the tuning is more stable on a headless instrument than with traditional headstock designs. This 2017 Frog Omega 4a weighs in at at 8 lbs 4.2 oz, and although it has a long 34" scale length, the entire length of the bass is less than 39".
This 2017 Maruszczyk Frog Omega 4a sports an eye-catching Seafoam Green finish and a Maple neck/fingerbaord with white acrylic inlays. The Omega models come standard with Delano Xtender pickups and active electronics. Each pickup has a series/singlecoil/parallel switch, and then there is a master volume control, a pickup balance knob, a bass control, and treble control. With the Volume knob pulled out, you can activate passive mode for even more sounds.
This 2017 Maruszczyk Frog Omega 4a has been played, but it is in nice shape all around (see photos—the worst is a scratch on the back). The white pickup covers show some wear from playing and the strings, and the finish on most of the acrylic inlays is checked. The 24-fret neck plays clean all the way down, and the setup is low and inviting. Because of the sleek, manageable feel and the flexible electronics, this Frog bass brings a lot to the table. It would be an excellent working bass for any gig, and it helps that it is so eye-catching. The headless design and the seafoam finish set it off! It includes its original gig bag and original paperwork. Impressive bass!
