Since 1954, the Fender Stratocaster has set the bar for the electric guitar. Versatile and expressive—but originally conceived as an affordable, workingman's instrument—the Stratocaster has become ubiquitous across all genres of music as a Swiss-army-knife guitar.
The Fender American Professional Stratocaster isn't simply a re-imagining of the vintage classic; it's the authentic original model, refined and evolved for the 21st Century. In many ways, it is the perfect blend of timeless design and modern technological improvements.
Under the hood, the American Professional Strat sports three V-Mod Stratocaster pickups designed by Tim Shaw to deliver crisp, clear tone with high output. Borrowing from the best-sounding pre-CBS examples, each pickup is voiced for its specific position. A two-point tremolo system provides vibrato tones with tuning and setup stability, and the Pop-In Tremolo Arm makes using the tremolo (or not using it) simple and easy. Its Deep C neck profile is designed for comfort and speed, and Narrow-Tall frets play clean all the way up to the 22nd fret.

This 2016 Fender American Professional Stratocaster sports the classic Three-Tone Sunburst finish and an off-white three-ply pickguard. It is gently used with a few bumps some minor play wear, and as is typical of modern American Strats, if you catch the right angle, you can see where the lacquer has sunk into the body seams (see photos). Its original hardshell case, paperwork, and adjustment tools are all included.
