There is nothing quite like the warm, rich, and woody tone of an all-Mahogany guitar. The Martin D-15M features a solid Mahogany top and solid Mahogany back and sides to deliver that delicate warmth and evenness. It has a solid rosewood bridge and a solid rosewood fingerboard, and it is setup with a bone nut, a bone saddle, and open-back Groer tuning machines. Its tone is rich, warm, and full sounding, but slightly restrained with even projection and even response. Like most all-Mahogany guitars, it accompanies voice very nicely and performs well in front of a sensitive mic in the studio.
This 2013 Martin D-15M shows some minor signs of play and use, but it finds us in excellent condition, and its tone has started to open up and mature. Aside from play wear around the sound hole and a few bumps/nicks around the edges, it's squeaky clean. It has low action with medium gauge strings, and the frets are nice and clean with plenty of life left. Its voice sounds broken-in and nuanced with more character than new examples, too.
