Introduced by popular demand in 1976, the Martin HD-28 includes many of the features players and collectors prize about prewar Martin dreadnoughts. While bold Herringbone top purfling captures the look of the original '30s dreadnoughts, scalloped X-bracing under the hood helps the HD-28 capture that iconic tone, too.
This 2011 Martin HD-28 features a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides. It is in excellent condition with some expected palywear but no repairs or severe cosmetic issues. A strap button has been installed on the neck heel, and it has a K&K Pure Mini pickup under the hood. It includes a martin 300-Series hardshell case instead of its original molded plastic case. Its tone is refined and powerful. This is a versatile, robust-sounding dreadnought that will take you anywhere the music leads you.
