Using the finest tone woods available and a traditional, time-honored artisan's approach, master luthier Bruce Petros builds truly exceptional instruments. Simply put, these acoustic guitars are some of the finest you will ever have the pleasure to sit down and play. Because of their intensely complex tones and quick, accurate response, Petros guitars often appeal to finger-style players who demand an instrument that truly inspires.

With lush, shimmering trebles paired with powerful, articulate bass, this 2006 Applecreek GC is an excellent example of Bruce Petros' work. It features a 14-fret Grand Concert body constructed with a solid German Spruce top and solid Cocobolo back and sides. Like all Petros instruments, every minute detail of the design has been refined and perfected—all with the intention to maximize tone.

When building a guitar, Petros begins by "pre-stressing" the top—creating a subtle arch to the top (~30 ft. radius) to maximize the potential of the treble notes. Another of Petros' unique innovations is the backward tilt of the bridge and saddle. This helps to equalize the break angle of the strings, thereby evening the response across all six strings. Also, Petros employs an interesting two-piece neck design that flips matched pieces of Honduran mahogany to counteract any tendency a board might have to warp or bend in a particular direction. These innovations—and countless other subtle improvements to traditional designs—demonstrate Petros' 40-year pursuit of the perfect acoustic guitar.

This 2006 Petros Applecreek GC includes its original hardshell case, a Small Dog case cover, and a replacement estimate (signed by Petros) that lists a replacement cost of $11,380.00. It is in remarkably clean cosmetic condition for its age, showing only minimal signs of playwear and no dings or repairs. It has a professionally-installed Fishman pickup under the hood.

From the first note, this Petros Applecreek GC will inspire you. Its tone will show you what a master luthier can do with fine woods, a little glue, patience, and unparalleled attention detail. This guitar shows you that Petros' esteemed reputation is much deserved.
