With its distinctive offset body and two rectangular pickups, the Fender Jazz Bass and the sound it produces have been fundamental in the development of a wide variety of musical genres. When compared to the deep and powerful sound of the Precision Bass, the Jazz Bass produces a tighter, more focused sound with richer midrange and treble detail. This versatile tone has been a tremendous influence on music—specifically the low end of the spectrum—and we are thankful for it!
Like the original 1975 J-Bass, the Fender American Vintage '75 Jazz Bass features black block inlays and black binding on a Maple fingerboard. To match the neck, its solid Ash body features a black pickguard. True to 1975, the '75 AVRI Jazz Bass has a bullet truss rod adjustment, and its slim C-shaped neck with 1.5" nut is fast, smooth, and easy to play.
This 2006 Fender American Vintage '75 Jazz Bass shows minimal cosmetic signs of play and use. It includes the original (never installed) pickup cover and bridge cover and a deluxe hardshell case.
