In 2005, Paul Reed Smith announced it had resolved legal issues with Gibson, and beginning in September of that year, they would resume production of the Singlecut. The carved Maple top on a solid mahogany body with two-humbuckers design may be common in the guitar industry, but no one does it quite like PRS. With hot pickups on tap, singing sustain, and effortless access all the way up the neck, the Singlecut is a rock n' roll monster.
This 2005 PRS Singlecut features a gorgeous Quilted Maple top finished in high-gloss Amber. It has a 25" scale length, 10" fingerboard radius, PRS' signature "Wide Fat" neck profile, and a recessed neck heel. Thanks to that combination, the neck plays smooth, fast, and easily all the way up the 22nd fret. Thanks to its solid carved Maple top and solid Mahogany body, it has no shortage of natural resonance and smooth sustain. When you add PRS #7 humbuckers, you get hot tone that remains warm and smooth, pushing your amp into creamy saturation.
This 2005 PRS Singlecut is in Very Good condition with the expected bumps and bruises of a well-enjoyed guitar, but it is free of structural repairs, breaks, or issues. The treble pickup tone capacitor has been changed to a Bare Knuckle by Jensen .022 uf aluminum/paper/foil capacitor. Its frets are in nice shape with plenty of life left, and its current setup is fast, low, and touch-sensitive. This guitar includes a generic after-market LP-style case. It weighs 8 lbs 3 oz (8.1875 lbs).
