The DigiTech BP200 is a compact multi-effects processor designed specifically for bass, bringing a broad range of sounds and practical tools together in a single floor unit. Introduced in the early 2000s, the BP200 gives players access to a substantial collection of effects, amp and cabinet simulations, and programming options without requiring a board full of individual pedals.
The BP200 includes compression, distortion, overdrive, fuzz, chorus, flanger, phaser, envelope filter, delay, reverb, and other effects, along with amp and cabinet modeling designed specifically for the bass guitar and low-end frequencies. Its 24-bit processing and multiple simultaneous effects allow you to build complete signal chains and save your own patches of effect settings. A built-in tuner, expression pedal, and drum machine add useful functionality for both practice and playing. The factory presets provide a great starting point, but as you dig into editing the presets and building your own sounds, the BP200 only becomes more and more useful.
On the BP200, you can assign the expression pedal to different parameters such as volume, wah, or some effect settings. That gives the BP200 a little more range within each setting. The other two footswitches allow you to scroll through the various presets. The BP200 serves equally well as a practice tool, effects processor, or simple way to experiment with different bass sounds without assembling a larger pedalboard.
This mid-2000s DigiTech BP200 is gently used and honestly doesn't look like it has spent much time outside of the box. It includes its original box, paperwork, and original power supply.
