While the original Gibson J-180 Everly Brothers may be one of the most sought-after and collectible rare Gibson models, the Epiphone version may be equally rare and perhaps even harder to find. Made in Korea in the late '80s and early '90s, the Epiphone SQ-180 will satisfy your Everly jones, thanks to its matching mustache pick guards and star fingerboard inlays. Authentic black finish, too. But a fraction of the price of the Gibson.
This Epiphone SQ-180 was made in 1991, and it is in excellent condition for its age. It has a big, fat sound that makes it an excellent strummer. With its black finish and Everly brothers aesthetic, it's also a great choice for the stage. This one has no history of repairs or issues, but a strap button has been installed on the heel. It has a narrow 1-9/16" nut width that give it a unique, extremely playable feel. This one also includes a hardshell case.
