This 00-12 Custom combines a shorter 12-fret neck with the square shoulders and dimensions of a 14-fret body. The result makes the nut easier to reach, but it also locates the bridge at the widest section of the lower bout. This drives the top from a more efficient location, so you get more bottom end, quicker response, more openness, and more sustain at lower volumes.
What about tonewoods? How about a reclaimed Redwood top and Aged Tone Curly Maple for the back and sides? We told you the spec sheet was ambitious, and this rare combination of fine tonewoods—plus the unique hand-voiced bracing—produces a balanced sound with warmth and clarity you don't often find on the same guitar.
