The Collings SoCo combines some of the most well loved features and sounds from vintage semi-hollow guitars with a distinctive look and feel all its own. In essence, the SoCo is a semi-hollow body with a single cutaway, but like everything Collings, it is pushed into the stratosphere. The SoCo Deluxe features all-solid-wood construction to maximize resonance, and a carefully hand-set mortise and extra long tenon neck joint brings tonal complexity and sustain.
This 2010 Collings SoCo Deluxe was crafted from the finest tonewoods available—a stunning Quilted Maple top and lightweight Honduran Mahogany back and sides. It has a Dark Cherry Sunburst, a Deluxe Flared headstock, Madagascar Rosewood fingerboard, Double Parallelogram inlays, and Ivoroid fittings. All in all, this SoCo Deluxe is a classy guitar with expressive tone to match.

The previous owner custom ordered this SoCo Deluxe in 2010, and he properly cared for the guitar, so it shows minimal signs of play and use. At first glance, it might look brand new. But a thorughou examination shows that the finish has set into the Mahogany grain on the back (see photos), and there is some faint pickwear on the top and edges of the pickup covers. The tone and playability are both exceptional. This is a top-level electric guitar from one of the best builders in the business.
