In 1980, Ibanez unveiled the MIJ, Maxon-made "0-Series"—each pedal made unmistakable by its silver button footswitch. In the nearly 40 years since, these simple analog designs have become reference pedals for ensuing generations of effects. Many of today's boutique builders perfected their designs by studying the nuances of these iconic pedals.

The FL-301DX was the second of two Flangers in the 0-Series. Unlike the earlier FL-301, the FL-301DX runs off of 9V instead of 18V, and its sound is much more low-noise. It is known as one of the best-sounding and most-useable Flangers in the history of the effect. By mixing short delay signals with your dry signal, it creates amazing harmonic sweeps and tone-filtering effects.

This 1981 Ibanez FL-301DX is in very good condition, and its tone is true to the pedal's reputation. Its original battery compartment door is included, but it is slightly broken so it requires tape to stay shut.
