Inspired by depression-era flattop guitars, the Martin 17-Series are humble in their simplicity, while delivering crisp, warm tone. The 17-Series convey the tone, feel, and vibe of treasured 1930s guitars, but they are built with modern-day precision that allows for 21st-Century setup and playability.
The Martin 000-17 in Whiskey Sunset finish features a 14-fret 000 body that is comfortable on your lap, and its tone is warm and full with even projection and quick response, thanks to lightweight scalloped bracing. The combination of a Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, and Rosewood fingerboard/bridge provide a familiar woody tone that is dry and crisp.
This 2024 Martin 000-17 is gently used and hardly shows any signs of wear. The factory protective film has been removed from the pickguard, but apart from that, it looks like this guitar has been played very little. The setup is exactly where we'd expect it to be from the factory—low and playable, but you can still dig into the bass notes without buzzing. The Modified Low Oval neck profile is smooth and fast, and although the guitar is still basically new, it's starting to capture some of that played-in Martin sound.
This 2024 Martin 000-17 is a fantastic player, and we love the crisp, warm Mahogany sound it produces. The 000 is such a comfortable body size, too. A great fit for the stage or the studio, but it also fits right into the living room! It includes it original soft-shell case.
