Proudly manufactured in the USA, the Goodtime 19-fret Tenor is a fantastic crossover instrument that will inspire new songs, sounds, and stories. This four-string openback banjo is tuned to the "Low Irish" register, which is G-D-A-E like an Octave Mandolin.

Made at the Deering Banjo factory in California, this is the 19-fret Tenor version of the ever-popular Goodtime openback banjo. These banjos weigh in at less than 4 pounds, so they can be a great traveling companion. For camping, hiking, or an afternoon on the beach, the Goodtime 19-Fret Tenor provides vibrant singing banjo tone in any situation. But around the house or the studio, you'll find that Low Irish Tuning inspires new songs and new ideas just the same.

As one customer put it: "Really great instrument with a great build quality and a lovely loud and rich tone. It is a delight to play with its short scale fretboard, slim neck and light weight body. I chose the Irish G-D-A-E tuning so that I can use the chords and tunes already learnt on the mandolin and am able to play it with just a little more of a stretch and a bit more movement of the old fingers! I'm well impressed and can strongly recommend one of these lovely American banjos."
