We've all dreamed of the "one-guitar quiver"—that is, one guitar that can do it all. While many brands offer variations on this idea, Paul Reed Smith delivers a simple option: using a bridge piezo pickup that adds authentic-sounding acoustic tone to their celebrated electric templates. The result is fantastic electric tone that makes no compromises like a hybrid guitar might, but when you activate the piezo pickup through the proper amplification, you can get acoustic tone that actually sounds right. When you blend the piezo with traditional electric pickups, you find all the sounds in between.

The PRS P245 combines a 24-1/2" scale single-cut solidbody electric guitar with an LR Baggs Piezo pickup housed in a wraparound bridge. Thanks to its carved Maple top and solid Mahogany body, it has no shortage of natural resonance and smooth sustain, but the piezo transducer adds a vast sonic landscape that set it apart from a regular Singlecut.

For the purest acoustic sound, the P245 has a dedicated Piezo output. Plug that into a good DI or acoustic amplifier, and you'll be blown away by how natural it sounds. But what's really interesting is when you play through the other output, which allows you to blend the electric pickups with the piezo. Suddenly, you've got an entirely new arsenal of sounds, all in a guitar that plays smooth and easy all the way to the 22nd fret.

This 2014 Paul Reed Smith P245 features a stunning Curly Maple top. Its stock humbuckers have been replaced with Bare Knuckle Mississippi Queen P90s. Unlike the stock pickups, the Mississippi Queens are warm and full-sounding with single-coil sparkle and touch-sensitive dynamics. Because of that, they're a fantastic choice for this guitar. When you blend them with the Piezo pickup, they're a better match because the dynamics are consistent.

This 2014 Paul Reed Smith P245 is in excellent condition. Apart from the Mississippi Queen pickups, it has no modifications or repairs. It shows some minor playwear, and there is a slightly finish blemish on the edge of the headstock, but otherwise it is free of severe cosmetic issues. The guitar includes its original hardshell case
