Featuring point-to-point wiring and the highest quality components available. Kingston Order pedals are handmade in a boutique shop in California. The SST Fuzz is a recreation of the Tonebender MKII, introduced around 1966 by Sola Sound, Ltd and made famous by the likes of Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, and many others.
This Kingston Orbiter SST Fuzz dates to the 2010s, and under the hood you'll find New-Old-Stock Germanium transistors, which deliver the authentic sounds heard on ground-breaking records of the '60s and '70s. This SST Fuzz sports a cool light blue paint job, and to appease the most-dedicated tone purists, this pedal can only be powered by a 9V battery. But the Kingston Orbiter casing uses a clever design, where the bottom unscrews by hand. Because of that, changing the battery is a breeze, and you get the opportunity to peek at those NOS Germanium transistors, too... you can almost see the tone!
This 2010s Kingston Orbiter SST Fuzz has been used, but not abused. It shows some minor scuffs and signs of use (see photos), but nothing too bad and it functions 100% as it should. This fuzz delivers so many of the iconic classic rock tones, and it's fascinating how different guitars, pickup combinations, and volume/tone control settings influence the character of the fuzz.
