Since we became a Collings dealer more than 12 years ago, the OM2H has always remained among our most popular Collings models. And that's for good reason, too—the OM2H produces balanced, complex tone that shines in a wide variety of genres, and its accurate, immediate response—paired with comfortable, small-body feel and smooth playability—appeal to a wide variety of playing styles.
This 2005 Collings OM2H (serial #11275) features all the standard specifications with the addition of a cutaway to allow unfettered access all the way up to the 20th fret. It doesn't look like it has been played much at all over the years, but it does still show some minor cosmetic bumps here and there (see photos). It sounds every bit as rich, complex, and balanced as you could ask for, and it's cool to see a Collings with a genuine "aged" look. In particular, we love how the finish has mellowed and patina-ed over the Ivoroid binding. Also, we forgot how dramatic Collings' peghead overlays were during this period—the headstock on this OM2H is absolutely gorgeous!
