Introduced in 1898, the 0-18 is the smallest offering in Martin's Standard Series. In 1932—during the Golden Era of Martin guitars—the 0-18 was expanded to have a 14-fret neck. This change made the 0-18 what it is today: a full-size guitar that feels tiny. And it boasts rich tone, too.
Don't let its small size fool you—this 0-18 has a punchy, present voice with nice projection, and at a mere 13.5" across on the lower bout, its small size is extremely manageable and comfortable. The 0-18 may be the ultimate couch guitar, but its balanced tone and direct, focused projection make it an excellent all-purpose guitar, especially for someone wanting to get away from the traditional dreadnought tone profile. We love the combination of short-scale subtlety and the punchy dynamics of the the small sound board.
